Writers View Venice

Updated: Aug 20

In my introduction, you get a glimpse of me at Harry’s Bar In Rome. However, few people know there is another Harry’s Bar in Venice, a short walk from St. Marks Square. Harry’s known for their excellent food, plus it’s an out-of-the-way watering hole for writers, artists, celebrities, who knows, maybe you will see George Clooney. Since my Sue Lee mystery series follows a World War Two timelines, many incidents take place in Italy that was under the rule of Benito Mussolini. Sue Lee’s Lover Tommaso (Tommy), during her college years, attend medical school in San Francisco. He then reruns to Italy, living under fascism that he hates after his freedom in America. You can read about his dangerous escape in my book, “Deceptions Of War.” One more tip about traveling to Venice, during July and August, Venice, attracts European holiday goers. The crowds are less in September, and it’s cooler.

All for now,
